1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Advoca uses them sparingly: to keep you signed in, to know through which channel a firm found us, and — only with your consent — to measure how the website is used. This policy supplements our privacy policy.
2. Which cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention period | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
lcm_session | Functional (first-party cookie) | Signed session cookie that recognises you in the application after signing in. Contains no password. | Until you sign out or the session expires | Not required (strictly necessary) |
lcm_attrib | Attribution (first-party cookie) | Stores the first source of your visit (e.g. "google" or a campaign name) so that, when a firm registers, we know through which channel it found us. Contains no personal data. | 7 days | Not required (no tracking of individuals); you can delete the cookie in your browser |
| Consent cookie | Functional (first-party cookie) | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner so we do not ask again. | 12 months | Not required |
_ga, _ga_* | Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Anonymous statistics on pages visited and features used. Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" by default; these cookies are only set after you agree. | Up to 14 months | Required — only after "Accept" in the banner |
Without your consent we do not set analytics cookies and your IP address is not processed for statistical purposes. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Changing your choice
On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. You can change that choice later by deleting the consent cookie in your browser (the banner will then appear again) or by setting your browser to block cookies. Please note that the application does not work without lcm_session: you will not be able to sign in.
4. More information
You can read how Google Analytics processes data in Google's privacy policy. For questions about this policy: info@advoca.be, or by post to [COMPANY NAME], Ottergemstraat 58, 9570 Lierde, Belgium.
